Tangela’s rise to fame through Sydney’s underground dance scene has been most prolific in recent years. From hosting a heaving Saturday night slot on the city’s iconic FBi Radio 94.5FM, playing headline shows, featuring on recent streams around the world including Boiler Room, HöR & Future Intel and fresh off her debut Europe tour playing club shows at Garage Noord, Le Sucre and POING to name a few. She’s supported the likes of Donato Dozzy, Ben UFO, Call Super, Pariah, Jon Hopkins, Maara, D. Tiffany, OR:LA, Woody92 and Garçon as well as running events at her very own warehouse venue and throwing parties under dstreet & club less, she’s been a name impossible to ignore.
While her name has become so synonymous with the growth of Sydney / Eora’s ever-blossoming dance communities, it’s her work on the stage that truly captivates. With a focus on depth and stripped back, bass heavy rhythms. Tangela plays across genres & tempos in unexpected ways, telling stories through intricate soundscapes. Tangela’s style pushes the sound for which Australia has become so known, in a variety of directions.
