Over the past decade Andy Garvey has steadily become a leading force in the Australian music landscape.
From music producer, to esteemed radio host, label boss of her own imprint Pure Space, and co founder of events collective NECTAR - Andy’s passion for and influence on her local scene is clear.
Her 2019 debut EP ‘Eternal Recurrence’ was praised by Resident Advisor as ‘a confident blend of techno and electro’. And she’s continued to release two more EPs on Lobster Theremin and X Kalay.
In August 2021 Andy wrapped up half a decade on air hosting triple j’s Mix Up. As a dance music authority, her discerning taste and effortless on air presenting style captivated the country every Saturday night.
Andy continues to host Pure Space (est. 2017) every week on beloved community radio station, FBi Radio. Pure Space launched its label arm in 2019, focussing on local electronic music made for both home listening and the club. In January 2021 the label will celebrate 5 years with an Australian East coast club tour.
Off air Andy continues to light the fire under packed club floors around Australia and has fast become one of the countries most in demand DJs.
